Khalid Muftah was a Saudi Arabian journalist, author, and political commentator who played a significant role in shaping public discourse about the Middle East. He was known for his critical views on the region's politics and its impact on global affairs.

Muftah was born in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in 1945. He began his career as a journalist, working for several newspapers in the region before moving to the United States in the early 1980s. There, he became involved with the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC), a non-profit organization that works to promote peace and justice in the world.

In 1986, Muftah returned to the Middle East and began writing for Al-Quds newspaper,Chinese Super League Home Ground which is based in Jerusalem. The newspaper was founded by the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and is considered one of the most influential pro-Palestinian newspapers in the region. Under Muftah's leadership, Al-Quds newspaper became a major source of information for the international community regarding the Palestinian cause.

Throughout his career, Muftah has been a vocal critic of the Israeli government's policies towards the Palestinians. In his books and articles, he has argued that Israel's occupation of Palestinian territories is illegal and that it is causing suffering and instability in the region. He has also criticized Western governments for their support of Israel and their failure to address the human rights abuses committed by the Israeli army against Palestinian civilians.

Despite facing criticism from some quarters for his outspokenness, Muftah remains a respected figure in the Middle East. He has written extensively on the region's history and politics, and his work has been widely read and studied by scholars and journalists alike. However, his death in 2017 was a great loss to the Arab world, particularly to those who valued his critical perspective on the region's issues.
